tSR Shirt Design Competition

Shark Robot and The Spriters Resource have come together to bring you a competition that will see you making a new t-shirt design that will test both your wits, design skills and knowledge.

The purpose of this competition is not just to have a great artist, though that would be great, but to really come up with a great design. The artwork doesn't need to be great, but the better you can portray your idea, of course the more likely your design is to be picked.

The winner will be picked by a select panel of judges, and the winning design will be put into print through our online store. The proceeds will go straight back into the website, and you will receive 2 free prints of your design.
Some select designs may even be picked as runners up, put into print, and the user will receive 1 free t-shirt!

The specifications of submissions is as follows:
You can submit as many designs as you like!
The image must fit 8" X 10"
A maximum of 5 colours can be used, but the less the better! 1 colour designs are amazing
The theme can be anything to do with nerd culture - comics, games, cult films, you name it.
You can use sprites from the site in your design, but take into account the colour limitations!
You can use characters such as Mario, Sonic, etc.

This competition will end 11/03/11, and we'll decide on a winner on 31/03/11, so get designing!!

P.S. - If your design isn't to a high standard, submit it anyway. We will consider it for "reproduction" purposes, and redraw it for printing. The concepts are all that really matter in this competition.

Is there a limit to the number of designs one person can submit?

i guess since technically I have proof that i posted it before, it would be acceptable to post here since i have no idea how i'd go about making it fit the new limitations

Well the original font would technically be breaking a copyright (I think).

You're allowed to use sprites from the site and fonts, there's no worries there.
Also, flipping the 8x10 is fine.

Resubmissions are fine.

Multiple submissions are fine.
