Pretty sure those are vector graphics, and thus not sprites [EDIT: By this I mean pixel art, and what is generally accepted on the site as "sprites"]. I am unsure if they are ineligible for any of the sites, but I'm 80% sure they aren't eligible for the spriters resource.

I think that renders the point of submitting it to tSR almost useless.

The thing is I have legit sprites that use these effects and I was wondering if I were to submit or sprite discuss my sprites, should I not include the effects I make for them? If not so be it. But it would be awesome if I could. have a lot of great stuff; sprites and effects alike.
What made me curious was sheets like this:
http://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_comp...heet/27028
Now, I know they're from actual games but they seem to be vector graphics as well.
what would be the purpose to upload it to tsr anyway.
the only way that those would even be useful for anyone as raw graphics would be upload them right away as vector graphics that could be downloaded since any other way would render them extremely useless(even alpha layer pngs would end being resized poorly and ruined in the process)
and even then, does tsr really needs said raw graphics as they are not part of a game's elements?(could we consider and put them on the same spectrum as fan characters) or are we submitting this to tsr just to fullfill a personal need?
of its the latter, i can think any other place that would actually gather those resources together so people could actually put them to use. otherwise i dont even know why would you want to upload them to tsr.

Then honestly, I fail to see the reason why any of the vector sprites are up there in the first place. In fact, I believe it's a poor excuse to believe no one would use them as some people are willing to put these to use for extra effect. But my main point was to figure out if you guys would accept them or not, seeing how you already have a ton of them up. But, it since the ones on this sight are as useless as the ones I have, then there simply is no point.
Moving on from this, I have other actual sprites that I'd like to discuss and work on. I don't feel it is 100% ready and I need other opinions.

These are both incomplete sheets that I plan to finish. would like some useful critique for what I have so far.
Also, thoughts on him as well. I plan to make a sheet and want to get the kinks out before I do so.

those credit tags are huuuuuuuuge
The weapons have a few minor shading quirks, and the credit tags are oversized - but otherwise they'd be decent submissions when you're finished.
As for the vectored effects - the reason the rips of them are on the site is because they're part of an existing game. Custom effects of that nature don't really qualify.
The only exception would be a representation of an effect that was in a game already. Say - for example - you were doing effects representing some of the moves in Pokémon, that would be an acceptable custom sprite.
If you're submitting a SFX just for the sake of it; and it's not tied in to any existing gaming series; we can't take it. Simple as.
or host them anywhere else, and provide a link to anyone that could need them.
(even pokemon custom effects are useless imo)
also overdone, oversized tags are such a waste. i'll never understand why on earth you all need such a huge tag and fill it with as many useless info as posible, given than said stuff can be erased with a click of a mouse. what matters on a sheet is the content of said sheet. even if you need to put your "touch" on it at least do it in an elegant, minimalistic way. otherwise you just get in the way of the resource itself.
or put a watermark on it since its so important for everyone to see who did it.

Thank you, I'll work at it. Also, the representation of roxas desperation move wouldn't count?

I just put up my own example to state a case.

or a simple and mature "sprite tag's a bit huge" would have sufficed. I'm not an egotistic bastard like some. There's a difference between giving critique and just being too critical.
I barely gave my tag much thought, other than wanting to credit the places and people that helped make what was made. I also didn't realize its size problem because it's so minuscule compared to my other sheets.
whats not mature about what i said.
Maybe a bit more tactless. Give your opinion in a helpful way. Its good to have discrepancy but don't over do it. Be constructive. I guess I just hate when people just find ways to be negative no matter what the situation.
But enough about that. I want to focus more on what I came here for: making sprites and getting guidance along the way.

Really T_T You might want to look up what a "sprite" actually is. Other wise don't use the damn word.
[fuchikoma: Easy tiger, you might as well stay on the topic rather than argue about such an irrelevant issue]
you may choose a more neutral color as the background of that sheet, such as a more friendly gray or an equally desaturated color since pure black/white tend to distort your perception of colors.
