Though this thread does bring up a good question: Should new members be required to make a intro topic. Maybe not enforceable by warn but you're in a member group that requires you to post in the Greetings subforum to post elsewhere.
We could give them pointers and let them know about edits before they post their sprites. I know for a fact that we'd see a lot less of these threads.

No, /having/ to post in the intro thread ids entirely arbitrary. Just as long as they don't make retarded posts elsewhere, who cares.

one thing is to introduce yourself thru this thread or by a thread to display your pixel work, wich is ok. its not like you are forced to do so(use the introductioon part of the forums) and i dont think it would really make a difference if you do it or not.
but another completely different thing is this thread. lets face it: its stupid and it wont go anywhere as it is now. its the very example on how to give a trerrible impresion of yourself to a comunity and that wouldn't happen in any other community
in fact, i feel more of doing OP a favor. if you're smart enough, rethink your ways and open a new thread with proper content and behavior. no one says you cant try to be funny and everyone deserves a chance to commit a mistake. hell we all did at some point in our lifes when we tried to be funny or interesting when introducing ourselves.

This is why I gave the tip as soon as I could; to avoid forcing too much when trying to be funny. It's normal for people to try and look interesting when they're new, so they don't feel out of the group, yes, but once you know how people roll 'round here, then you should play like them.
in this case, I don't think that not introducing yourself in the Arrivals forum is bad. As long as you introduce yourself properly, it's no warn-worthy.
