I'm sorry, I desperately wish I could get this done but there are so many factors that are just stopping me and TD from finishing.
Raylax hasn't said anything for weeks. I fear the worst tbh.
But don't worry this game isn't dead I'm thinking about moving it over to Stencyl, from MMF2 (as some of you who go to the Stencyl boards might have noticed) So I could be able to program it myself. The problem with this is that Stencyl isn't released yet. So unfortunately the game is delayed to whenever Stencyl is released to the public + a week or so for programming and stuff (Unless I somehow make it into the Beta testing, then Momotaro would be available at launch) But on the plus side of all of this, I'm going to make the demo huge now, considering I would be able to do what ever I want. and I'll also try to include a few cool unlockable stuff (like huge entire stages and stuff).
Again, I'm really sorry, I feel like I'm ripping you guys off after promising so long. We've all been trying our hardest to get it done and ready for you to enjoy, now just wait a little longer.

Momotaro was a folktale originally, its probably in every sort of media by now though.
And this isn't the first game to be based on Momotaro. This is just the first plat forming adventure game to be.

Shouldn't it be in katakana?
Well I wasn't sure since it is originally Japanese, but its for a foreign game, so it was in a sort of gray area. I just left it as hiragana. I'm pretty sure there's Kanji for it, but I don't want to bother, I like it simple.

I think the hiragana looks better anyway.
Well the kanji for it doesn't look too bad.

A lot of kanji look cool lol
My favorite is がく / まな(ぶ), 学 but it looks really lame on screen.
It means to study/student. And I like 花 (はな, か, flower) too.
But I don't want to use Kanji, because I want to keep the title ingame as simple as possible. Which is why i took out "Moon Boy". I'll probably put Momotaro in tiny hiragana underneath the English, if I remember to.

Anyways, this game would be great to release on the ds, ever think about making it into a homebrew?
