man, combos are a lot more about timing in this game than they are in marvel

I was so happy to simply be able to pull off shoryuken -> FADC -> ultra with ryu

The key to being good at SSF4 is knowing two things.


Normals aka moves that are specials of any kind can whittle away damage slowly but that's why we have timers.

The second thing is that this is a defensive game. Patience is key and forcing the person to make mistakes is how you win.

im attempting to learn cody/abel/dan. cody is pretty easy but he doesnt have good range except the rocks which aren't very useful. i like his combos and his lvl 2 ultra though, BINGO and the tornado kick are great for forcing your way out of tough situations too.

abel's pretty easy to learn and i like how easy it is to cross people up with him. feels cheap but its so funnnnnnnnnn.

i mainly want to main dan because he's the best character to tell how good you are at footsies/blocking/rushing down. IT'S TACTICS, SON

(also i just got this a couple weeks ago and ive never actually "played" a fighting game but im completely engrosed in learning how to be pretty good at all 3 of these characters or at least 2 of them)

If I recall, Friend Seeker is one of Ibuki's tags/titles C: Ibuki and Makoto are my mains.

Anyways, can't wait to try Yun and Yang when AE releases.

I learned:
-i can't NOT wake-up shoryuken, no matter where the enemy is, it is an impulse
-tyvon can't parry (he can eat 500 hadoukens though)
-hugo is like zangief but more awesome

(Q - Parry) + (Ryu + Hadouken) = why are you even trying
