One of the Sonic games. The first game I actually OWNED (without cousins and whatnot) was the first Sonic Advance, I think.
Donkey Kong 64. I was like four or five, just learning how to read. I even remember how I had no idea what to once I made it past DK Isle, so I was just running around the area, killing the beavers and avoiding the hornets. I thought it was the best game ever.

i dont like masks unmask all you whant to do

How old were you when you first played the game?
My first video game I could remember was Pokemon Yellow.

It was the pin point of my love for pokemon and mario etc.
I think it was a shoot-em up game made of ASCII-characters, played on a obscure german homecomputer called "Triumph Adler Alphatronic PC". I'm not sure about the game title - the disk was labeled as "Data 1".
I'm sorry to derail this but

It was too long ago to remember exactly what game it was, but it was probably for the NES. I think the first game I actually owned myself was either Pokemon Red or Super Mario Land.
I can't really say for sure - it was most likely on either the SNES or the Gameboy though.

i'd say the oldest game I can recall playing at a young age was link's awakening
Super Mario Bros. 3. and I was three during that time.
It was Sonic 1, at my uncle's house when I was about 5.

Basically I ran into Motobugs 3 or 4 times before my uncle told me I could press the round buttons to jump, and then I died at the Mashers in the first bridge. And then my uncle decided to put me on Labyrinth Zone 3 "the easiest level in the game." Thus began a lifelong obsession.
My first game was Rayman Forever for DOS. Although, I was like, 4. Took me until I was about 8 before I actually got to the last level, and then for whatever reason, I stopped playing. I haven't finished it since, but I don't really like the game any more, either. Sad
duck hunt and the original super mario bros
