But Superman needs to go kick Goku's ass for stealing his origin
have i ever talked with you about my friend jesus?
Have I ever talked with you about my friend Horus?
A Pokemon game that's turn based, but requires more skill as opposed to just level grinding. Like the Mario & Luigi RPGs.
While it is helpful to have a high level Pokemon, skill is involved. Depending on your team, if you give a Pokemon a not overused set of moves, it can require skill to pull it off.
After every main console game I play that I love I always wish for a handheld version that wouldn't be a sucky port but something that stands on it's own. Add Mass Effect to that, I can envision something that would be neat, and pixelated

Isn't that more strategy than skill? I'm not saying I disagree with you, those things are important. But at the end of the day, if your moves hit or miss, and which moves the opponent uses, relies all on chance.
It still takes skill to know what your doing. Like for example, you need to be able to properly breed and train the Pokemon. Breeding takes more then luck, and training is so easily laid out that it takes skill getting your Pokemon there. So yeah, to properly pull something off like that and have it work in your favor, it takes skill. Think beyond the battling part.
Sometimes though I wish pokemon felt like more of an rpg battle wise. Like how the final fantasy series where you had that bar going and when it was full you could attack so that it wasn't strictly turn by turn combat but more so timing. I think that would make the pokemon battles feel less tedious and cumbersome as they've become.
(Did I use correct phrasing there?heh)
If that's the case then I hope there is a different bar for each of the attacks, sounds like that would be cool. Probably won't happen but it's still a good idea.

That bar only works when it's group vs group (which would be nice since it would allow more strategy), and that would make it more of a RPG fight. One on one would make it as boring as that Cecil vs Cecil fight from FF4.

It'd make things faster paced and group battles would be that much more fun. I'd also like to make my own trainer, why can bikers have mohawks and cavemen can have beards but I can have neither?
I don't care if I'm supposed to be 9 or 10 or whatever, I'll just claim it's a genetic mutation and I'm a hairy bastard.
Super Smash Bros.: Cinema.
Smash Bros with the cartoon versions of their characters
Also, Captain N.
Not exactly a game but
Team Fortress 2:The Movie
F-MAX (as shown in The Skull's bio)
A race similar to F-Zero, but more brutal? I want me some!

Even so, what I meant by my initial suggestion was a Pokemon game that requires skill battle-wise. Similar to Radular's bar suggestion, I'd like something like Mario & Luigi RPG's timing system to make battle less tedious and more interesting.
A Zelda style Pokémon RPG would be cool actually.
