I do wish there were in more games, hopefully one could be a playable partner in the new Paper Mario.

The little areas I circled (just a couple flat edges and stuff, pretty minor) are bothering me slightly but that might just be being nit-picky or whatever.

Still, you're getting there. And looking at it really makes me think of PM. Have you also tried looking at other characters for ideas on different things?

I like that I spent ages making you a pretty in-depth explanation of what you were doing wrong
and you ignore literally everything except my first point.

They themselves have only been in one game, Super Mario Sunshine. They are the ones who trade blue coins for stars and another one is also at Noki Bay who owns a boat shop there.
