this may sound a bit off topic, btu it isnt. its just a small thing that seems to be persistent over time for some strange reason.
no one can claim ownership of a certain color scheme. being sorry for """taking""" someone else's palette is quite dumb, considering there is no real way anyone could "own" a certain set of colors and deny others from using it.
now, depending entirely on someone else's color choices to make your own work(either from a custom or a comercial sprite) to make ALL of your works is something you should avoid. neither claim them as yours for the already stated reason.

seriously though, the mmz/tron one is okay, but the pose is awkward and the proportions in general are kind of off. the second guy is a lot better, i like the kind of fire emblem look in a smaller sprite. the only thing is that his face seems badly proportioned, his eyes are too high for one thing, and his feet seem a bit weird.
