Actually she has a point. If you look at any written book, they did not make any such mistakes so it is only natural to think that you haven't looked at a decent amount of books to be making such silly mistakes.

Probably cause I've been reading Manga, and science books alot

which are totally different types of text, thus you shouldn't use them as the only basis in your narration.
