That's all I could think of and I suck at explosions and pretty much everything else so, yeah

Still impressive though.
It's not against the rules, but I wasn't planning on anybody creating a background.
It'll only be considered an extra, as that assignment emphasises on the heavy, and what will be judged is the quality of the rendering of the heavy.
That Voltorb looks great, Perseus! Maybe lightning, instead?

or at least where you learned!
It's playing with colors and with my mind deciding wether stuff looks right or not... if it doesn't look right, then I'm trying to find a way so it does xD
I think my Heavy works as Standalone too

Thank you, but it's using Explosion, so it should look kinda like this (and I don't think lightning would look too good in a silhouette like that
)
you can control lighting when you control form. it's then case of getting a satisfying balance of different levels- dark and lights, saturated and desaturated...
yeah your heavy looks good as a standalone, elk!
update

Aw crap that's awesome, buddy! I need to make mine better...
How're you gonna do your Heavy?! Also, I finally have something actually starting for my silhouette. Finally.
the trick to the heavy so far, seems to really be with thinking outside the box.
I've been putting off working on this, mostly because I realised that doing anything for the Heavy would turn out awful and I can't think of anything for the silhouette. Welp.
Way too many fuckin colours ugghhhhhhhhhhhhh
Edit: Can I like, throw this round? I want to punch this dumb shadow in its dumb shadow face
Hey wait, Previous AA'd his silhouette, I thought we couldn't do that!
i'll consider it smoothening jagged lines.
He AA'd within the silhouette anyway, no rules broken. Should take a better look next time kiddo.
:X I wasn't trying to call him out.

For the sake of being pedantic, he actually went over the outline with the AA in some places. It doesn't matter that much as it's a few pixels, though.
