Hello. It's been a fair while.
So yeah, these are sprites for some adventure game that will probably not get made.
I rarely pick up Paint anymore, don't have time, or just too lazy. But hey, once you've started spriting, it's a little difficult to put it down completely, I guess?
So yup.
Oh, and for
shiggles.
You say that like its a bad thing.
Well, jagged lines are pretty bad
I would suggest smoothing things up a bit, mainly your details. You can see a loss of detail greatly due to the jagged lines mainly in the hands. If you smoothened things up a notch, it would help make details more identifiable. Skin color could be a bit better too with more contrast. Overall, some pretty good stuff here!
The skin colour contrast is a good point.
And I hate hands. With a very fiery passion. There was a reason I tried to hide them as much as possible. >.>'
At the risk of sounding really quite thick, I have a habit of making these things too jagged, so if someone could kinda just gimme a quick how-to on how to not jagger these things up? That would be kinda helpful.
Okies, well, here's a quick fix before I have to go to work:
It's not finished, I got rid of the shading to make it easier to work with, and because that probably needs fixing too.
However, "fixing" it broke something for me and I can't tell what. Hints would be appreciated.
Another tweaking. Feel free to comment on something. :/
I would give the pants a bit more blueish contrast instead.
EDIT: And also, the colour of the hair is way to dark on the mexican guy. It blends in too much with the black outline.
