Different taste =/= no taste (or bad taste), not intrinsically. But bad taste is still intrinsically different than good taste, so there is something of a minor overlap.
I don't think it's bad taste to not like The Godfather. It's a product of a different era of moviemaking when the focus was on other values. It's not something people are used to these days. Granted the Italy segment slogs on a bit, but that ending and all of the complications leading up to it are fantastic. It's a tragedy about a family.
So it's not bad to dislike it, but I will say unflinchingly that you're wrong in doing so.

I think Batman Year One looses a lot of it's charm if you've read the book before as well... it's exactly the same, word for word. Under the Red Hood is also really good (if not better than the comic it's based off) if you haven't watched that yet.
I still need to watch the second part of the Dark Knight Returns. It's my favourite Batman graphic novel but part 1 was a bit meh... I think it's one of those things where what works as a comic, doesn't always work as a film.
As for me, Fantasia 2000. I have no idea what the hell they were thinking with the host (it's like some really badly scripted comedy show), and well - it's no where near as good as the first (no music, except ballad of the wind fish, has made me think of flying whales...) And other pieces just seem to relate very poorly to the music in content and timing.
However it is completely saved by one fantastic peice:
which makes the whole thing worth it.

Watched Seven Psychopaths a couple days ago. I was impressed and amused by it.
Christopher Walken's character is well written, as are all of the others. I highly suggest that if you have any interest in dead-pan
or dry humor, you watch this movie.
Oh also watched Hit and Run. Meh.

Snatch.
Just...hench. An outstanding piece of british comedy. Go watch it. Now.
PS: I'll give a million pounds to anyone who can understand Brad Pitt's "pikey" accent.

If you try you can actually understand it most of the time. Sure, sometimes it sounds like pure mumbling, but otherwise you just need to listen to it as if he's Irish and has half his mouth stitched shut.

Go read the book. Then you'll hate the film. The beautiful creation, slow revealing and understanding of the afterlife is sodomised in the film.
Had some friends round at the weekend so watched a lot of stuff: Emperor's New Groove, Princess and the Frog, Bolt, Babe (my god is it terrible). Also watched the second Bourne film, enjoyed it more than the first.

The Pirates! Band of Misfits.
It was awesome, Aardman films are always so good because you know why they took so long and all the work that went into them. Their claymation never fails to amaze me, every film is better quality than the last. It's also purely coincidental that we saw it while I had this avatar.
But yeah the actual film was great. It was also awesome to hear "I'm Not Crying" in it
