Magma Man is the least original.

First off, you shouldn't call one frame (with an awful monochrome pallette that isn't what the game will feature) a sprite.

Well, most of the fire bosses look similar through the many series.

It's hard to say that Concrete Man (Guts Man inspired) isn't original, because Doctor Light is supposed to have made these robots. I guess he ran out of ideas.

Tornado man looks like a Gyro Man + 'native american' motif.

...How are they NOT sprites?
Besides the fact that he didn't make/rip them so this topic is completely fucking useless.

Moving to game discussion.

Splash Woman actually looks pretty good.

Splash Woman's sprite is easily the best out of them

That's 'cause it's probably the most original.
Or because she's a girl.

Those are pictures of the xbla awards, not the actual sprites. The actual sprites are much more detailed (as can be seen here).

Being that his body is composed of hexagonal hive-like cells, it makes sense. Past robot masters haven't always looked eexactly like what they were named for.

By the way it has been described, the weapon Mega Man gains from Concrete Man would seem to be the opposite of Guts Man's (placing blocks instead of grabbing them). It will also apparently freeze enemies in place.
Tornado Man's weapon is either vastly overpowered (based upon the desciptions given) or just a gyro/wind/air man clone.
Magma Man's weapon seems to be like fireman's with the ability to scatter upon hitting an object (similar to crystal man's weapon).

Hornet Man would probably be better off named Hive Man. Maybe he shoots bees (well, hornets) at you. Surprised how well Splash Woman turned out.

Galaxy Man is easily the coolest robot master ever conceived ever.

Can I just ask a question (technically two questions)? A bunch of fan made websites say that Needle Man, Spark Man, and Snake Man were supposed to be girls. Is this true?
