that shark scene
so many things are wrong with that one scene alone
i'm pretty sure its real life thats wrong.

whether its intentional or not, 60s batman is way more entertaining to watch as a comedy. especially if you're more used to grimdark batman

Watched the new Fourze episode, the characters are shaping up to be amazing! Whoever's in charge of sound effects is also great, the football captain's "Schwing" salute is so over the top

really didn't like The God Complex. The basic idea is cool,
but there's only so much bullshit they can pull, even on a show as silly as doctor who. to sum up
by far the worst thing was the editing though. WHOAH LIKE A MILLION CAMERA ANGLES SO SPOOKY! WOW THEIR EMOTIONS KEEP CHANGING REALLY FAST THAT IS NOT A THING WHICH HAPPENS NORMALLY. WHY IS PEOPLE'S WORDS SHOWING UP ON THE SCREEN WHEN THEY SAY THEM THATS NOT HOW TALKING WORKS!! IM SPOOKED
a civilization who managed to defeat their god and send it into a prison in space
it converts and feeds on people's faith? really? i mean, what? and why is it in a hotel? also, i dont really buy that this is the first time the doctor has seriously faced the prospect of his companions dying. i get that the minotaur was meant to be a parallel to the doctor, but they have to actually give a reason that suddenly he's all concerned about his companions' mortality. lastly, its pretty obvious that the doctor's fear is... HIMSELF. they've pulled that twist already in the valeyard episodes and amy's choice. they're gonna do it again.

It isn't that he considered their mortality for the first time, that was never the point; it was that he considered the fact that their mortality was directly challenged by the very faith in him that he instilled. Amy Pond was a very special case among companions - he was there for her as a child, and then led her on for the rest of her life until now. She was built up by that initial experience with the Doctor and for that reason she, and the confrontation of her faith in him, was the perfect thing to bring him to a breaking point in that respect. It was far more than just his companions being with him.
