I am a thirteen year old programmer turned spriter. I have fallen in love with spriteing. Its much more fun than drawing with a pencil.
Here is my first ever sprite. It was made on paint.net and I just started drawing and didn't stop till I finished.
Here it is.

If you cant tell its a guy in a bobble hat. It looks in no way like me.
Also it has no body. This was not on purpose it was a lot to do with me running out of space and not knowing how to draw clothes and limbs.
Also I don't really like the nose so any tips on how to draw body's and nose's please feel free to link me to a thread or somthing!
Thx
Alistair
a good sprite for a beginner
pretty nice looking...kinda reminds me of some of the art work on Collepic
but this is in the 3D model section not the spriters section
hopefully the thread will get moved so you can get more info on spriteing.
This is your first sprite? Well, it's not bad considering.
And yeah, what valforwing said.
Thx guys. Since I posted it now has a hoody and the outline of legs
I like how nobody had the discernment to notice this is a 3D models section.
moving.
the post inmediately after OP did so.
as for the sprite, you do have a good idea of how linework works, but you still need knowledge about how you should develop shading and picking your colors more efficiently. for the most part one always avoids using gradients(either automatically or manually created) when shading because they're absolutely unnatural and ugly, for the most part.

I like your attitude man, I feel like you'll be just fine here. As for the body, I map out a pose by stick figuring it actually, then I begin to flesh it out piece by piece.
