A new fire emblem game has been confirmed for the 3ds. All that is revealed for it so far is this trailer I am pretty sure. I don't know about you guys, but I am pretty pumped for this.

Looks like they are adding more action filled fights and the obvious more than 2 people on the battlefield at once(probably via supports).

I'm trying to figure out if this is supposed to be a brand new game with an entire cast of new characters, or if this is another chapter to one of the pre-existing FE games. Or if it's a remake, but with new mechanics.

My money's on this being related to Fire Emblem 4, since I can't help but be reminded of Sigurd during the horse charge bit at 0:05

Day One

On second glance, the battle system looks like Super Robot Wars to a degree.
Hard to say if it is a remake or not at this point, many of the characters shown were in no older fire emblem titles, so that is a sign that it isn't a remake.

There are rumors going around that the game takes place on the same continent as FE8 Sacred Stones. This is somewhat supported by the fact that one of the generic enemy soldiers is apparently labeled as "Frelia."

hopefully it actually makes it out of Japan

After playing DWG3 almost to the point of having no missions left, all I can think about now after watching that trailer is how good a Dynasty Warriors Fire Emblem could be.

Also, those overworld maps look atrociously oversimplified. Maybe they just picked a bad example, but I hope the in battle maps look just a LITTLE better. I know they're not the main focus, but come on.

I've been replaying Blazing Sword for a while now, and now this shows up.

Hype times a million.

I can't hype it too much though, because the chances of this coming out in America are at an all time low. What, with Fire Emblem 12 being skipped over and all.

Fire emblem 12 suffered from the whole end of system life problem that a lot of other games ran into (Miles Edgeworth 2 much?). Since 12 was a remake of 3, a game that didn't even come out over here, I wouldn't make it a priority either.
Since the 3ds doesn't have too good of a line atm, I wouldn't put it past them to translate this and bring it to the states.

yeah this news is great and all but THIS IS NOT ADVANCE WARS so it is difficult to be as glad >:\
