Seriously though, I'm betting we'll see some sort of DLC. This is the perfect type of game for Nintendo to really start it with. I'd also like to see them add more than just characters. Maybe some new tracks, or multiplayer modes or something. Honestly though, I'd fine with everything as is, and I really like the Wuhu levels (idk, 1 long track instead of 3 laps seems like it'll be fun to me.)

I honestly really hope Nintendo don't start doing DLC.
Unless it's either
A. Free
B. Actual content rather than just new characters

If they ended up releasing Waluigi as a DLC character.
Really it'd just prove that they left him out of the original roster on purpose just so they could sell him later.

Tbh i doubt that's the whole roster anyway. I remember not seeing Bowser JR on the MK Wii Roster and then later finding out he was unlockable.

Funny you should mention that. Reggie had some press conference recently where he essentially said that, since you already paid for a full game, added content will be free.

as much as it is a pain not to see waluigi in this game I don't see why everyone needs to complain about it.

I just want Bowser JR. They can't possibly leave him out, he's been in so many Mario games as of late.

Also, why has Mario's arch nemesis been left out of every single MK game?
He's killed Mario more than any other enemy and I for one, would love to see bottomless pits driving a kart.

I was hoping for Dry Bowser, but meh. Ultimately, it does not matter. It's all about the tracks. Are they fun to play and do you want to play them over and over again and are they appealing?
A Mario Kart game with only boring tracks isn't fun to play, no matter how many characters there are playable. By the look of things, I don't have to worry that in MK7.

Fuck this. I want Mario Kart: Triple-Dash.

If I remember correctly, it's that, if they have something simple in mind like new characters or simple game modes, or if it's something they wanted from the start but weren't able to add in time, they will make it DLC for free. If it's some huge thing, they may charge for it. Idk, I read this earlier today and I have a shitty memory.

Sadly, he did not say anything about MK7 having DLC.

It sounds more like "We'll test the waters with free DLC, see how you guys like it, and then charge when we realize how much you want it."
