Wish I could say that, but some bastard decided to cheat with that Maka Wuhu glitch
Maka Wuhu? More like Maka Boo Hoo. :p

I never choose Maka Wuhu unless I have been item-raped the race before leaving me last while I could have been first.
I don't mind people picking Maka Wuhu. They think they have found a foolproof way to win, only to be bested by someone who has (nearly*) mastered the glitch, namely Yours Truly.
*Still haven't mastered boosting after recovery.
Sadly, I can't say I have been undefeated, since it can be a pain to win sometimes due to consecutive item hits, but I did win majority of the time. I have been playing enough races to earn me over 2500 VR (excluding 1000), so I have played quite a few times.
Oh, and since I'm already bragging: 3 stars overall!
For triple star rating, I managed to figure out that it's based on time, ranking points and times fallen off track. The last I figured out by having to replay Star Cup a thousand times and still getting two stars, dispite the 20 seconds off doing the Maka Wuhu glitch and having 40 points.
Doing the Maka Wuhu glitch forces you to fall off track.
Before racing Maka Wuhu, I had fallen off tracks before because of bullying CPUs. I managed to figure out that you can fall 2 times, but not 3.
So if you are going for the triple star rank on Star Cup, stay on track as much as possible. Have you fallen twice before Maka Wuhu, avoid the glitch.
Hope this info is useful. I sure would have appreciated at the time, but I did manage to farm a lot of coins because of that
Got it for christmas. I have to say I -really- dislike the new drift system, but everything else is cool.

The drifting feels mostly the same as the DS game, except I'm still confused as to how the mini-turbos work.
While I'm here who's up for a community race?
if you guys haven't already got the community code use it, I feel a wee bit bored right now.

That was what I meant to refer to. In previous games, you do a left-right-left-right motion to get the boosts. Now the turbos are time based, and leaning into the turn gives you the boosts quicker.

Does this offer still stand? Because I'm on it ATM
can this be turned into a general Mario Kart discussion thread? I'm bored of Mario Kart 7 already(3 starred all of the grand prixes, and am more than halways through unlocking stuff with coins, but I need a break!), but am currently working on DS, Wii, and Double Dash!!.
So who is gonna start a Spriters-Resource community for all of us to join?

It's based on the total angle you've drifted. After around 90 degrees turning, you get blue flames and after around 180 it becomes red. It's to prevent snaking (to some degree).
