:l
You're just fucking around right now right? Do you seriously think because they're embracing a new character population they're just going to forget the very characters that made the Nintendo Franchise what it is? Because from the looks of it, a new 3ds Zelda game is being made, their's Kid Icarus coming out soon, Animal Park, all the while, the mii's while there, don't take the attention away, but instead are added as a bonus. What is seriously fucking wrong that they're including tracks based off of Wii Resort? It's a fucking fun game, and I for one would like to race as my mii.
But my point in that post is that the Mii's don't make nintendo who they are. It's more or less the franchises that they have created over the years. The fact that they're trying to make it a bonus really seems more than pointless other than the fact they want to boost the recognition for it.
Because you know, they want them to be recognized as their own force? Why do you think they did all the stuff you could to do with them on the 3ds? Why do you think they added all that content on the Wii? Why do you think they're making them bonus characters in games? Because just like their main characters, they want the Mii to be recognized as an essential part to Nintendo.
I suppose that's alright to extent.
But don't blame mii when you see that dog is a mii.
I look forward to having a human dog.
Look the Miis haven't taken over. People are just worried that they might someday.
For example: Lots of fans would love to see Wario and Waluigi in the next New Super Mario Bros. but seeing Miis used in the demo instead of legit Mario characters worries some people.
Why would it? There's a reason it's a demo, and they were probably just placeholders and at most would be like Mario Kart 7, optional.
I wouldn't put it past them. If there's one thing I know its that Nintendo R&D don't give much a shit about characters. This is why we're getting freaking Queen Bee and Metal Mario.
I like Metal Mario :L
I can't say anything about queen bee, but why not put out some odd characters? I liked her design at least.
Well because we'd rather see characters that fans actually like.
You do, but I'd rather have variety in characters and not just a popularity contest.
The Mario Kart games have always been about character variety, anyway. After all, SMK had DK Jr. Like, really?

Funky Kong in Mario Kart Wii. Who saw
that coming?
Oh, and those darn babies! I mean come on, Baby Daisy!?!? Baby Wario would've made more sense.
I hope MK7 isn't going to turn into a nursery.
Once we finish bitching about Miis, can we bitch about X-Box Avatars?
Miis haven't taken over shit yet. Nintendo has always been about the personalized experience, and inserting yourself into the game is the best way to do that. Miis aren't beating any other characters out of a spot, they're just being used in the way they were always intended to be used.
And really. Why the fuck did they use Avatars for that Doritos Challenge game?! Where the fuck was my Master Chief!? I'm so sick of Microsoft using Avatars instead of their established characters. FUCK!

Actually DK Jr. had his own game and is pretty recognizable. So atleast he has that. But Queen Bee? What the fuck does she have?
