The Z button just looks directly in front of you - that isn't really that good for camera control...
It's the one problem I have always had with Zelda, so that's fair enough, but it still just felt harder with the nunchuck and wiimote.

Yes but for when you are trying to jump and stuff, best to see right in front of you, is it not? After all gotta see where you land, thats why the Z button would be your friend in that situation.

I always have an easier time making the camera view my character as though I'm playing a sidescroller when jumping, so I sympathize with Dazz not feeling comfortable leaping into the air senselessly.

Yeah, I kinda miss the c-stick camera controls that were present in Wind Waker.

i think i've just gotten so used to zelda games not having a free 3d camera that i don't even care - i didn't even use it that much in wind waker, tapping z always seemed fine to me and still does
though i won't deny a free camera would let you see more, so i could see people being upset that it doesn't have one
motion controls work perfectly imo, i actually laughed a bit when i slashed my first log because of how cool it felt

My cousin's playing the game now, I assume he's having a blast.

Might just be me, but Link doesn't seem to handle corners well.

Noticed a few references to past zelda games.
I'll spoiler tag them though in case people want to discover them for themselves.

The Headmaster is clearly a referance to the owl who guides you in past Zelda games. He looks very similar, has a similar name and in an early cutscene, ends a sentence with ''Hoo Hoo''
One of those weird kiwi things in the forest tells you something then tells you not to tell anyone and says ''It's a secret to everybody.'' A reference to the first Zelda games where some guy in a cave says it.
Upon giving that water dragon thing the magical water, she says ''Feel the energy flow!'' Quite possibly a reference to Majora's mask where the witch says the exact same thing upon receiving a health potion.

EDIT: I beat LoZ years ago, and really I can't remember any of the quotes. So maybe this doesn't apply to me, but that third one is very minor dialogue in Majora's Mask.

You really think the second one was obscure? It's been referenced in a bunch of different games including 3D Dot Game Heroes and World of Warcraft. It's one of the most memorable quotes of the entire zelda series after ''it's dangerous to go alone''. Do a quick google search.

Wow quest given by an NPC named ''Linken'' Dressed in green: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=3845/its-a-...-everybody
3D Dot Game Heroes Trailer that features the infamous phrase: http://kotaku.com/5510745/dot+mart-is-a-...-everybody
The whole ''feel the energy flow'' thing isn't quite as obvious but I find it highly unlikely that it's a coincidence. Both games feature a woman character that has been injured and needs a jar of X to recover. And both say the words ''Feel the energy flow'' Upon drinking from the jar.

And here I thought "I AM ERROR" was the most famous Zelda quote.

Really? More popular than ''it's dangerous to go alone'' ?
It's in Zelda II for one thing, not that many people have even played Zelda II, I know it's a pretty famous quote but not THAT famous.

Also I caught on the "Feel the Energy Flow" quote. It might just because I've played that part in Majora's Mask so much as a kid because I could never get too far in that game, or it might be because I really like Majora's Mask, but it made me happy to see it in there.
