Personally I never liked the classic controller at all, be it for Smash Bros or virtual concole games. The buttons feel plasticy, the shoulder buttons are squishy, the control sticks are in awkward positions, the d-pad is rubbish, and it's much too light , etc, just really not my kind of controller.

it's not a big deal really. I just hope there's a good number of controllers options like in Brawl

Classic controller's probably the closest thing we'll get to the superior gamecube controller.
