I just want to see the game art and stuff like that. (and also see images that you don't normally see when playing the game). And also viewing 2D art in games is better. XD
And also make custom sprites... or mix and match sprites parts... etc. I think back of the day when I used to make sprite comics and this site is a huge help but I became so lazy at that... I couldn't continue it anymore. OTL
People don't like it but styles that could go together...
backgrounds where people characters would never be...
I like Making Sprite Comics, Games, Concepts, Multiverse ideas, original characters...Flash projects.

Heh, I'm planning to make a picture of Link from Minish Cap holding up a Goo Ball from World Of Goo today.
EDIT: Dun
You know, most of my avatars and whatnot wouldn't be possible without spritesheets from here.
I don't use sprites at all.
However, I rip. For archival/preservation purposes and so that people can use rips.
Also, I think it's really fun to go on a journey inside the game, learn how things work, and depending on the complexity, perhaps even reverse engineer some mechanics.
Ripping is fun.
Now that is a fantastic answer.
Agreeing except for the fact that I do use sprites sometimes... lol.
I don't use sprites, but I know people who use them. And people who use the ones I ripped!
I use them for sprite comics, which I stopped making four years ago, now with more Photoshop experience I think I'm gonna make a new one. This is the best site for this kind of stuff, keep doing what you're doing.
I like to make comics with them.
[MJ EDIT: Posts merged. You just posted this yesterday so please try not to do it again. ]
I'm pretty sure you already mentioned that
I tend to use them for a couple of reasons - first as a reference for custom sprites. By using them, I can look at various parts as reference and try to better emulate the original style.
The second reason is for things like my signature - fun little fan projects.
I use them when I script new monsters and weapons to Skulltag.
I use Them for my doom2 modification and signatures!!!! And of course ill give credit when used
