Oh god I'm the only one not fitting proportions
no Bastard, actually...
http://veekun.com/dex/pokemon/hypno
either all the human characters are midgets or my ref is an abnormally large hypno!
In all seriousness I'm not in the mood to shrink my sprites, but I'll give it a shot if it proves to be necessary (which it might for the attack animations)

Well, you just don't fit in the box... You're just tall, I'm super-massive there.
EDIT: Question about the palette, Gors... is the row of green that's closer to yellow that I used for my shirt not supposed to have a lighter shade? It's simply white there on the palette, and pure white doesn't exactly work for shading that...
StarSocks I like you better as a Star with a pair of socks.
Anyway here's a crappy in progress of me.
Its difficult because my character is in black and white. But I'll keep at it until it looks right.
Smaller me! In several designer colors!
Am I handling the light source okay? I'm not exactly confident in my shading ability.
which way did he go george
Meh. I had a go. I've done better.
Gors, do you think it's okay if I could use your edit? I'd like to make animations out of it.

i took the liberty of lining up everybody
actually, I had in mind that 64 pixels equal two meters, that's why Vipershark is almost as tall as the box
I am not a sprite nazi so if you want some extra space for work, go for it. Just keep it within multiple of 8 sides and don't stray too much from the original style.
also Jawnsunn's sprite should be completely outlined with dark gray.
I can also add another row of colors on the palette, what do you think, and which color would you like?

I know it's late (I'm never on at 12:
30 AM
), but all those straight lines in his lower area bother me (his right (left) leg's completely straight and his shoes are blocky). It looks great otherwise.
If you decide to add another row, a nice cycan blue ramp would be nice if you feel like it.

i think i know how to fix the straight lines problem (for the most part), but how can i make the shoes less blocky?
I did a quick (and probably bad) edit here:
Yours is left, mine is right. There are probably anatomy issues or something, but I wanted to illustrate about smoothing the corners of the shoes, and thought it'd look better if his leg was bent similar to this. It's your sprite, so you can change or not change whatever you want, but I just wanted to give my input. Just something to help give you ideas and whatnot. c:
updated the palette with a lighter lime green and three neutral gray hues for Koopaul's character.
