I have no idea how to create motion blurs.
If you post it as a sheet I can try to make one for you.
Take 2.gif
Didn't come out quite how I intended, but it's at least a little more energetic than the last one.
I do like it better though!
I hope you don't mind Zadaben but I tried improving your sprite
(Ignore the blacklight guy, it was just a palette test)
Thanks Sengir! I like the shape of my guy the way it is, but i will definitely consider shading it more like you did, also, that blacklight gave me an idea...
Update: I have no idea what I am doing with this idle pose.
it is looking horrible.

"I AM A LIGHT BULB, WATCH ME FAP."
um......does it really look like that?
Animated:
A bit too choppy/fast perhaps. Could use an inbetween frame or so.
Felt like the arms just had to be there. Still defenseless, however!
Non-animated:
I'm lazy at jumping anims.
Ditto.
Will become a soundblast of sorts that negates and pushes opponents away. I have no clue how to go about it, but we'll see!
whole bunch of WIP shit!!

i'm not sure why, but i really like this guy. maybe it's the eyes.
i get this feeling like he doesn't have the slightest clue what he's doing.
(this is a good thing)

I'm not liking the 1px limbs, they look very noodle-y. It works on robo9 only because his character's "atmosphere" is very careless and noodle-y itself with very over-exaggerated animations.
I think you should at least try normal limbs, here's an example of how drastically it changes your character:
I actually prefer the stringy limbs for some reason...
Personally, I find the one pixel limbs to be better, or at least in this case, because assuming he went with arms as short as those, he wouldn't really be able to attack much, would he?
(that and the thought of a light bulb with super thin arms beating stuff up is hilarious to me)
Of course, there's always making them longer, but where's the fun in that?
Uncharged shot, will make one that is charged and bwooshiful. Don't take much into that term, I'll find out what it means when I make it
I have no idea where to go from here.
