But where are Previous and Gatsby in the game? Are they going to be unlockable characters, or are they going to be bosses?

they're just enemies.


a good game needs to have enemies, right?

I can see how Previous is kind of like a Koopa, but what enemy is Gatsby referencing, if any at all?

I don't seem to be mimicking any existing enemy. No idea if my guess is true, but I'm assuming by the sprites that I come on screen hovering and let myself fall if the player is below me, and just walk from there.

Probably a sidestepper who got lost from Arisa Bros. And ended up in Super Arisa Land...

Hey Gors could you maybe give a short description on what each enemy does
So previous is basically a koopa but I have no idea what gatsby and Phantom K are supposed to do.

Gatsby comes flying and attacks by falling on you. If he misses it, he simply wanders around like a goomba. I'm deciding whether to give him a claw attack or not. He can be defeated by stomping , including when flying.

Lexou is lakitu: he flies around the level trying to hit you with lightning. You can defeat him by stomping on him or throwing a shell/minecraft block/etc on him. After this, Lexou enters in this state , and you can ride him for a limited time.

at first i thought gatsby was gonna be the shyguy from sm64(flew around with a propeller, picked player up and dropped em in the quicksand) but then i remembered that they werent in any other super mario game :<
