... Who am I kidding, I still thought even those were fun.

probably (and hopefully) that boss is just a test, to show off the co op. if they just re-add old bosses, im just gonna stick a milk carton on my head and play nSMB wii.
But rehashing Koopa Kids sure make it feels like the same game though...

I will buy it anyway, but, even the desert overworld looked the same, and the same music for it too. I sure hope that was place holder, but I really really doubt it, it's just 2 months until release....
For years everyone whines about how much they want the Koopalings to return. They return. Everyone wants them gone.

Seriously though, as long as they can make their battles different enough, then I don't care. Also, we already know Reznor will be in the game, so it stands to reason that even if the Koopalings return as bosses, we will still have varying minibosses. By the looks of the screenshot I posted, it seems he may have a battle based on his SMW fight, which I'd be fine with.
Well what is disheartening to me is how much that battle looks like the same as Super Mario Bros Wii. What would make them good is if they have a fresh spin to them, like how their main boss battles in NSMBW created different terrain effects to make them harder. As long as they do something NEW with them, then I'll be content. They ARE awesome after all.
Probably not. There's rarely anything "New" in the New Super Mario Bros. series.
all the absurd, blind fanboyism on this thread...
Me seeing Reznor: Yay!
Me seeing Koopa Kids: ...Yay?
If anything they should at least try to add in bosses from the first NSMB alongside the Koopalings and The Renzor.

if not then what the hell is the point.
bowser needs to invite more of his family members so we can kick their asses.
I think Nintendo forgot how to create new characters

You mean all the clear criticism for the past 2 pages?

Skyward Sword *cough* *cough*
Full of originality and a new experience.
Also, Sega kept adding characters to Sonic and most people thought it became over saturated with dull new characters. As long Nintendo keeps up with fresh experiences for their titles, I don't need new characters, as I love the ones they have.

I agree with this, but, one thing is new partners, another is new enemies. I would like new enemies, yes, even if they're just powered up versions of old ones, idk. Koopa Kids were cool the first time, I loved it, but adding them again in the same game that has basically the same mechanics (and is a sequel!!) isn't good, no.
They have an arsenal of potential bosses who can be revived.
Wario, Wart, Tatanga, Birdo, Clawgrip, RPG bosses (like Goomboss)
Or finally give Waluigi a platform game debut as a boss.
It's not a bad thing that the Koopa Kids return (because they did from SMB3 to SMW), but they shouldn't be hogging the spotlight from other (potential) bosses.
Still, we have Reznor, so that's awesome.

Now that you mention it, I think they really missed an opportunity to put Tatanga in one of the Super Mario Galaxy games... He's literally a space alien! The game takes place in space! Agh. Very Sad

And now that I'm thinking about Super Mario Land, including Sarasaland as a setting in one of the New Super Mario Bros. games would be really cool. They haven't visited that setting since it was introduced! It'd be new to anyone who hasn't played Super Mario Land, and anyone who has, and enjoyed it, would probably be thinking "I can't believe they finally brought this place back"
