This is my new attempt;
Lemme know how to fix it up and I'll start working on animations; probably helper as I'm a lazy fellow.
that looks like a weird mix between my character and solink.
mainly due to the fact is mostly an edit from solink with a color scheme similar to my character.
Except its not an edit at all and the colour scheme is one I've had for over 5 years now, dude. The only change is the character design which reflects how I actually look now, and the fact I changed my name from Unknown to Heckle.
Looking good guys! I'm liking what I see so far
. One day I hope I can contribute my character as well. I'm currently working on a custom sprite sheet, but I have no way to animate it. If any of you want to handle the whole " making it work thing" for your game I'd be happy to provide you with all the nesaciary sprites you will need. Also I'll send some ideas for back grounds too. This should be a lot of fun. PM me if you want to use my custom sprites. I'll also post them on thses boards. Well good luck. I can't wait to see the finished product
I'd like to try to make my own stage but I'm not sure if I'm good enough to actually do it...
I'm sure the style would be simple enough to catch on to but I have trouble with large pieces (hence why I didn't do as well in TUGS as I could've)...
Are transformations allowed when making our character's sprites?

If you want, I'd like to make your stage. You could give me a rough sketch of how it should look like, reference or whatever and I'll get to it when I have the time. I'm finished with my final exam project, so there's plenty.
Of course you don't have to accept, because it's your stage after all, so it's up to you. My offer stands if you want my aid. Just a kitten who wants to help (and contribute more to tFR), nya.
Sounds like a fun project. Fingers crossed it sees completion and you have a healthy number of people contribute characters =)

Thanks for your offer Nick, I'll think about it!
Although if someone were to make my whole stage for me I would feel lazy because in actuality I really haven't contributed a single thing to the project besides crit. even though I've wanted to (being involved with other projects and all that).
Hows this for a potential entrance/attack animation for an helper? [Told you I was lazy] Will probably add a few more kicks. Oh yeah, and actually sprite the thing too; just planning out the animation for now.

COMEBACK
YEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Finished [Faceplant], [KO], and [Comeback]. The Grab Attack I have now will be the [Throw] (it fits the description better), and I'll work on the grab attack now.
PErhaps it's just the way you've animated it, but it doesn't look like he's really getting up, Just a motion of some sort. If that makes sense? At any rate, it works in a sorta comedic anime way of "what? I didn't fall!" so if that's what you were going for, it works.

I know what you mean. I actually did intend for it to be anime-esque in the sense that it's a quick motion of getting up, like you said. My whole moveset is intended to be wacky, so I think I'm alright. Thanks for the input!

In that case, I would say it works rather well. Although, I must say that he looks rather flat. BUt I'm still not too sure on this style's shading yet so I can't really comment.
I can't decide on one so I'll just main everyone.
While I'm here, does anyone have any ideas for my grab attack? I was thinking mine could sap hp from the opponent, but it doesn't have to necessarily be that. I've also been trying to keep my moveset's theme, which will be centered around conjuring up items or objects (see defend, duck defend, back jump, etc.)
Anyone have ideas?
some old animations updated. something seems kind of weird about the forward walk's face but i don't know what it is.
