Wow, at that range is that considered a long distance attack?
Also at the sprite after the motion blur the handle of the mallet bends
I had it bend for comedic effect... does it look like a mistake??
well, if you want it to be comedic, maybe give him a big big grin, he seems like a hyperactive bouncy little kid. But it looks like it bends too far.

Zoe from Dinosaur King.
Seriously.
She IS a paleontologist in anime after all (though in her artwork, she's poportionally off with the foot). And raises dinosaurs. But if you want to fit the theme here's a
list I found of all the dino-themed anime. Then there's Sarah from The Land Before Time.
Remade Idle, and working on the drill shield for the block poses.
i dotn really get how is that idle//drill going to work.
The pose looks very unnatural and tense. Granted, it's much better than the previous attempt, but it doesn't look natural. What's your character's attitude? If he's a relaxed, confident character, try relaxing his left shoulder. When in a stance like that, the box torso becomes a more tapered shape, like here:
His right leg should also be either about a pixel thicker, or have the leg extend from the crotch a little more to the right (I'm not entirely great at explaining this, but what I'm saying is that the legs are at a frontal view when they should be 3/4).
The area between the shirt and the pants doesn't really need anti-aliasing, either. AA is used to blend two clusters of pixels together-but when you think about the subject represented by those clusters, they shouldn't be blended. The shirt and shorts shouldn't be blended together, as they are two separate forms.
Lastly, the arm without the drill looks very stubby. Try making the hand a little larger, and relaxing that arm in general.
posting something I'll never animate
The way that her left eye stops higher than her right eye and begins at the same height makes it almost look like her lower eyelid is twitching.. CRAZY CAT! CRAZY CAT!
Also the (her) right hand is pointed too much, it looks like it was cut off or replaced by a cartoon character's fingerless hand.
I made a quick fix on the right hand(So it's not too pointy) and eye(So it's releative to the other one), I think the sprite was pretty good excluding those small things.
Kitsu you should give animating your character a try.
Looks good, but the bottom of her right pant leg is too squirmy.
I don't actually plan to join the project, but I wanted to try the style for fun/pratice,so crit is very much welcome.
Hmm.
He kinda looks like a human Sonic
I really like it though, You should continue
