cloth billows no like me.
Have you planned out any of your animations? What you have now seems very limiting in terms of what you could do. I'm mainly concerned about the generic punches and kicks and with the jump.

yes. the punch is the shadows in the hood turning into a fist and rocketing out the hood
kicks should be obvious
the jump is a sort of launch from the ground, as my character is a bunch of shadows inside a cloak.
the animations are planned out, i just need to animate the sprite to them
if you wanna battle, then i'll take it to the street
where there's no rules
take off the gloves. ref, please step down
gotta prove my skillz, so get down
my lyrical Dempsey Roll about to smack down now
anyone wanna guess what my gimmick is
also here's my idle and Jester Frog in full not-obscured-by-Tellis glory
Any c+c is welcome, everything's very WIP, especially, like, that whole animation.
ill work on the assist animations, but i plan to make a full character.
not as bad as it was when i first made it, but i think this looks good thus far.
Oh yeah, Carl Clover does have a similar mechanic, doesn't he! Close!
Jester's summon will work more like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's stands, as JoJo (and Persona 3) is the main inspiration for it. Though I'm still trying to work out the specifics of how it will work out in the game, because I'm not sure how rigid the mechanics as they're laid out are... either it'll be a special that'll use a meter that'll convert to his health meter, he'll have his own health meter and it'll be a separate thing, and one of my basic attacks will be the summon. Just depends on what Robo and Gors want, I guess.
make it similar to Carl anyway, so we can have characters with different ways of handling them.
Actually, that probably makes more sense, and it'd require a bit less finagling, I think. Stylistically I want to act more like a Stand or a Persona than Nirvana, though. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll have to start watching BlazBlue videos or actually pick up the game soon...
Edit: Actually, you mind elaborating on what you meant by "so we can have characters with different ways of handling them"?
Also, I took the liberty of lining up the mugshots made so far:
I noticed there's nothing about mugshots in the OP? Is that because we shouldn't worry about them first or because it's not final that they're going to be in or were they just forgotten?
told myself not to, but i still did
Sorry for the lack of transparency on most frames but I should be going to work now
EDIT: Fixed
My idea for Masquerain - she's short/mid range, deals heavy damage but is frail and slow

Wait, are there going to be character stats?
...I bet I'm going to end up being the frailest one...
Oh and question: I guess each user taking part in TFR is only allowed one playable character/assist? Because I realized the only thing I'd be able to make character-wise would be an assist because my character was already made for me... before the idea of letting people sprite their own characters came to be...
