the lightsource does not change in a rotating object, so his face should be shadowed when it's on the opposite side. good base though!
Oh, God, I forgot about this thread!
I'm a baka for sure now.
I'll have something done by tomarrow...
...I Hope...
There's no deadline for anything. We all have tons of things to do I'm sure so don't worry about it. For something like Juju, I think the light source should be in the center since it never really faces "forward"
Also I think immobile things like the beehive should be facing towards the screen instead of facing in a certain direction. It makes sense gameplay wise. Something like Chompa too should be coming out towards the screen since it is something Banjo has to walk past.
Fantastic! I think we'll have our first sheet done soon.
Just wanted to drop in and give my best wishes. Grunty's Revenge is a good game and all, but its sprite style is definitely not what I would call user friendly, due to its isometric nature.
I really think this project will prove to be quite useful to spriters everywhere.

Absolutely! You know what is really sad? This:
Ugh! Look how awful that looks! They are using the models and textures from the game to make a side-scrolling Banjo.
So yeah I think we are doing the world a favor by making some good looking functional sprites.
Oh yeah here's what I was talking about with the Beehive. Not that good but it gives you an idea.
I love 2.5D platformers as much as the next guy, but that's NOT how you do 2.5D, in my opinion at least.
Still, it's not the worst Banjo fangame I've seen. I remember one where the art was user-created and... yeah, you can imagine how that turned out.
That aside, the Beehive looks fine to me. Maybe make it a little bit bigger, is about all I'd suggest.
Oh you were Azure? Welp I almost feel bad for this person. Maybe he's changed?
Anyway, I'm gonna see if Mattdogg wants to come on board. He was a great spriter and I think he could help us out.
I seriously need to get motivated. Maybe a walk cycle for Banjo perhaps?
Oh and Koopaul, do you want me to give you shared access to the Dropbox files? It might help if someone other than me had access to them
Oh sure.
Just PM me or something.
I don't want this to die, but it seems that mytivation for this sprite project is null, which is an issue.
I added a TO DO list of moves for the Banjo-Kazooie sheet.
i editted your gruntilda, bwar. i used zac's sprite for reference. i'm also trying to animate bawl as you can see.
Very nice. Should we have all the Spiral Mountain enemies on one sheet or have them separate?
