I've been kinda interested in this game, actually... although apparently from what you guys are saying, it requires a good computer, and that's one thing I don't have! >-<
Played the game through.
I found the whole experience quite shallow. The stages didn't really blend together in any fashion, and there were many issues with balance. The opening stage (Which I honestly enjoyed the most) was about 5 minutes, if that. The space stage can pretty much go on forever conquering every planet in your galaxy.
Spore Creature Creator > Spore.
It's sad because the Creature Creator won't even work on my computer.
I think that even though you can create many different things, the game is not that fun, I prefer the creature creator its all I need.
The best stage was the first one, but it was too short.
I think EA was very creative when they came up with the concept of evolution from your imagination. I don't think there will be any other game like it.
I'm too fond of evolution itself, but I like the idea how you can play a game about creating your own animals and watching them evolve.
How can you be too fond of evolution?
Darwin fetish?
I finally got the whole game to run without crashing
Wasn't worth the effort. It's fun to play though once, but after that the creators are all you need.
My brother pirated the game and I'm now in the space stage. Really fun, but it sucks that I have a pirated copy because no player created content ):
Why couldn't I have just stayed at the Creature stage? I mean, you can, but that advance button is so tempting.
Basically I don't like it past the Civ stage.
Parts that SHOULD be free updates, but aren't. Niiiice one Maxis.
But then again, they did it for Sims.
