The Genesis version has a "map mode" debbuging function, absent in SNES...
nah, just tried it by myself, haven't thought that (even with jumping and aiming at the ceiling) =/
Anyway, I just did this:
Maui's death animation, done with vSNES.
Mojo Mansion:

I pasted the background to the level and made the water easily expandable, also cut off some blank space.

The sheet says "scrools" instead of "scrolls".

thanks davy now a paint user could access the background and the level pieces in a snap thanks!
after running through a whole level making sure you have all the parts and having to erase the dreaded gradient I decided to rip a smaller boss level so now I have 2/5 levels done

For the gradient: You know how to erase colours from a colour palette, right? Just asking, because this can save you a big bunch of work.

yes I guess I should use Paint.net a little more to get rid of those pesky gradients
but if you have an easier method please tell me

The easiest method I know is erasing colours from the colour palette. Not sure if Paint.net can do that.

Thanks, I had the animation on my sheet, but not separating Maui and the green hand.
Hm... Hiyna, can I post my Maui Mallard's sheets on this topic? It'd be better to focus the talk in a single topic (no need to change your topic's name*).
*like Belial did with his "King of Dragons" topic last year.

No problem, I'm pretty sure you can also separate Hernae and Maui.
07-22-2012, 10:23 AM
No, they don't have separated tiles, I just checked again...
You can notice that Maui's colours and size change. That's because thos frames were poorly copied from Genesis version =/
