Ah, I thought you meant in their respective game series. Tongue
Okay, that makes more sense ^^;
Sorry for not clarifying; I was starting to think Olimar was in Melee, and I got real confused :U

You mean like how Roy was used as a product advertisement and his game was never released any place outside Japan?

There's still hope for Mike Jones Sad

Not to mention the possibly that Sakurai might not even know who the character is.

When making Kid Icarus Uprising, in many of his interviews it sounded as if he never knew there was another Kid Icarus besides the first one. There was another for the Gameboy but it wasn't released in Japan... Sakurai acted like it didn't exist, and he probably thought it didn't.
Hey guys, King K. Rool and Kaptain K. Rool are brothers, right?

That's unfair to the thread, I'm always thinking up movesets for everything ever.

Not sure if you noticed, but Nintendo is based in Japan, and primarily interested in advertising to Japan with characters that people know in Japan.

This is news to me, I thought it was actually based in Italy b/c that's where Mario came from !!!

seriously though, there shouldn't be anything wrong with them using an American-exclusive character in the next Smash, since that means they can re-market the game so that Japanese fans can play it.
(Actually Mario is from Brooklyn, New York. Hahaha.)
Mario's life story is murky. Nintendo just doesn't care. He has origins in Italy, Brooklyn, The Mushroom Kingdom, etc.

IS IT REYN TIME YET?!

Pac-Man is Namco's icon. A whole cast appeared in the Mario Kart Arcade GP games.
These two are solid candidates to add to the roster. Maybe Klonoa too, because he kinda fits (never played the games, though).
I myself can't think of any other Namco character to be in it.

This is not PS All-Stars Battle Royale, so why worry? Majority is Nintendo anyways, just with a little bit more 3rd party than last game. Brawl proved it's comprehendable.

Speaking of Namco: Item idea. A Power Pill that causes opponents to flash and be extra vulnerable to being sent flying.

Heiachi is now in PS battle royale
I just read something by a guy from Namco say they're not pushing for any Tekken characters in SSB because the fanbase doesn't overlap much.

But I kinda wanted Heihachi ;-;
Oh thank goodness. Pac-Man fits better than those guys.
I wish they just left it as Nintendo characters, to be totally honest.
True. But now that the window is open, they better put in the most deserving 3rd-Party characters.

Who knows... it's a new game perhaps the window has been closed and Snake and Sonic will be gone.
