CHOO CHOO I'M A TRAIN.

In all seriousness, though, PLEASE just make a single sprite and let us critique it until it looks good, then work on the animation. If you keep doing this every time someone makes a comment, you'll be redrawing the idle a LOT, and that just wastes everyones time.
And why is Geno's idle looking down and to the right?
Now does the battle pose look better?

He should be facing more to the side like Mario is.

It will help you tweak not only size issues but also proportioning him correctly. (The diagonal pose should be your in-battle base; characters around Geno's size use the same parts for overworld and battle.)

I probably want to follow Ridge's suggestion for making Geno view diagonally.
That may be true but he's not even looking at the enemy as it is now. You'll really want to make him face right just a little bit more. At least a bit closer to Luigi's direction.
I think this should be better?

You're not listening. He needs to look like this; ___ and not like this; \
Yeah I meant his whole body should be turned to the right just a bit. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that.
The animations are fine, but i think you just need a lot more A-a to make it look smooth and soft like M&L2/3
I'm gonna have to make Geno face like Mario instead of Luigi.

Another update. Here is the fixed version of the idle pose.

when things billow/whatever (hat, hair, cape) they don't move in unison with the body. There's a slight delay.
That, and the hair stretches instead of rising/or whatever it's called
Does that mean I have to move the cape faster than the hat and make the hair move a little?
