I've been working on this guy for the past few weeks. He has a pretty complete SOR moveset which includes animations for a number of his signature moves and even multi-throws, but I'm not sure as to whether or not he could actually be added into SOR due to him having a rather complex colour pallette. Still, here's his Powerbomb animation, I'm happy to post more for anyone who's interested in him.
Enlarged with bicubic scaling.
Please post pixels in their original resolution (i.e. one pixel on the sprite matching up with one pixel on your computer screen). If you must resize them, please use the "Nearest Neighbour" form of scaling. Bicubic, that you've used, blurs the edges and distorts your colours, effectively ruining the sprite.
Restored to original size, apologies.
Rear throw, the Argentine Backbreaker:
Why does the cat mask suddenly disappear in some frames?
I think the yellow is rather ugly, you might want to consider hue shifting to orange. Also, your Selout is really inconsistent (again, mostly on the boots).
The shading looks pillowy in several places, but then again I don't know the style.
Because the frames are far from finished - you'll also notice that his forearm pads keep changing, and most frames are missing the golden details on his tights. I simply wanted to post these to show that Kings arsenal of exotic wrestling moves can be recreated suprisingly well via chopping and changing Abadedes frames - he's even got his Romero Special.
The Running Jaguar Bomb:
The frames flow together well but I'm finding it tricky to correctly space the running animation.
a prime example of the difference between a "good" edit(understanding by good edit something that doesnt look like an edit), and a time consuming edit(simply something that will take a considerable amount of time)
what we got here is nothing but a tediuos display of someone merging and rotating pieces together to create something: a collage.
you're not even trying, and it helps that abobo's sprite is so simple that it barely needs a few changes in its pose. not to mention the mask is far from even being close to mimic the game's shading and color choices. to a point is stands out too much(particulary in those sprites taht required more effort than the "default" head you made and pasted all over the place.) it doesnt even work under the principle of it being a novelty since you're not even aware of how the game's aesthetics's were designed.
and boy, half of the animations doesnt even make sense due to you simply rotating pieces together. makes it look like the character is randomly floating in space without any kind of gravity being aplied to them, mean look how he's literally standing in the same way when he gets horizontal.
there is no a glimpse of quality here, its just as i said, a mere display of a time consuming activity.
An unnecessarily harsh post towards a first time spriter don't you think? Especially devoid of anything resembling 'constructive' criticism.
Yes well, no.
I'm tired of the "harsh criticism" debate.
Meta pointed out a few things and did so without any sugarcoating - which is perfectly fine. He also made several valid points.
Since you are just doing your thing and don't appear to be considering any criticism given, let me just close this thread to prevent any recurring "discussions" on the same old story okay?
