Yep! I see what you are saying!
Hopefully this is better.
He maybe could be a tad fatter. You could also try to make the darker shades more brown-ish than gray?
Better? Made him fatter and tried the shades of brown.'
EDIT: Also, I just whipped up the "Cake King"
WIP, obviously.
The shading looks wonky / jaggy to me.
As for the cake, the purple shade blends in with the brown, making it look really blurry. You should use more inlines to prevent that. Also, I'd refrain from using selective outlining, it works only in special cases.
Generally, it's better not to work on a white canvas, especially when you are using white in your sprites.
I'm not too certain with my edit, but it illustrates a few things?
Thanks! That helps a ton, and it looks fantastic! Little by little I keep making my way back to working on this.
I put some legs on the cake.
I've decided that its probably better if I actually "attach" the leg to the body instead of just creating a leg and moving it over to the body. I figured that it would help with animation later down the road, and just makes more sense. So that means that I will have to go back and make some changes, but I think the result will be better.
As a Cake King, I think he should be way bigger and more regal looking. Like with a cape and a scepter. And a long, flowing mustache.
This is all looking awesome man.
But, I think I preferred the Cake King with out the chunky legs.
Personally I think the red stick legs you used before looked a lot more stylish.
I think the king should have a big fluffy frosting beard. This current one just looks like regular hair.
Am I the only one who thinks the feet look like feminine heels...?
Also, candles.
EDIT: In the style of a crown.
the legs look reeeeeeeally thin!!
Thanks Everyone! I am writing notes down about everyone's comments. Although there seems to be conflicting statements on the legs. So we shall have to see what happens there...
But yes, I agree that the cake needs to be more "Kingly" overall. A cape is in order, I believe.
Anywho, there has been a design change to the Hamburger Knight!
Just some changes. As you can tell.
That's all I have for now.
That doesn't really say "hamburger" to me. Incorporate the helmet into the bun and make the "spike" into a frilly toothpick.
Really? I thought the change made it more clear that it was a hamburger.
Also, a New Cake has landed!
I illustrated a few ideas.
He needs to be way more pompuous and regal!
