Something about the original's atmosphere was just so great. Of course, it helped that the concept was so fresh at the time, too. I got my mom to play it with me sometimes. She can't play the handheld ones because they hurt her eyes.
I played a decent amount of Wild World, but I didn't find it too interesting. Skipped city folk. Expecting good things from this one.
Never had a family that wanted to play video games with me.
Animal Crossing was engaging for me, by myself, because I enjoy discovering and encoutering things. With each month came new bugs and fish. There were new fossils to find and holidays to challenge. I have a very "gotta catch 'em all" attitude when it comes to games. That's why I like capturing Pokemon and not battling. My glory comes from having done it all, not competition.
I guess that's why I don't mind not having anyone to play with.

You are everything that's wrong with the world.
The only reason I would ever change the clock's date is to go back in time so that I could catch up with all the days I missed and not have my town crap out on me.
I ONLY DID IT BECAUSE I LOVED THE GAME.
All time-travelling is BAD time-travelling.
I know...
But that's okay because I don't play it anymore...
Getting this day 1.
I just really hope they add a lot more inventory space and don't re-use wild world's awful inventory system.
Like, maybe you could equip a backpack or something to let you double inventory space or something
It's so cool that you can visit a friend's town now even when they aren't online.
I'm really glad they brought back the train too, rather than the city gate (It IS called Animal Crossing in the west)
BTW VIPES, i remember seeing some new way of storing items in this hour long gameplay vid somewhere (I think it was that they made fruit amongst other things STACKABLE):

More info:
-KK is a DJ on weeknights (Don't worry, he still goes to the coffee shop to play his guitar on saturdays or fridays or w/e day it was)
He plays chiptunes apparently including songs from old nintendo games.
-You can get a job at the coffee shop
-You can set up your own museum exhibits, with whatever you want.
-You can place any of your furniture or stuff that would normally just drop as a leaf outside, outside.
-Return of Halloween:
Is your dick hard yet? Mine is.

^This site plays whatever music would be playing right now in animal crossing (In your timezone, you can choose which version of the game too)
Anyone remember this music?
help I'm having a nostalgia attack
AUGH I wish my gamecube memory card would show up already, I ordered one like a month ago
just so I could play the original AC again. Hearing this song makes me even more anxious to play it
You ordered it a month ago and it still hasnt come? I'd email the seller.
Honestly considering getting this since it looks like a massive step up from the last two animal crossings.
Wild world was just bland and I couldn't help but note how city folk was just an extension of wild world. This one actually looks like a sequel.

Oh I did. Apparently it has been sitting on a dock in Shanghai for the last 3 weeks. It just now made it stateside yesterday. I'd reckon another week of waiting is still to come.
That's what I get for buying from Hong Kong.
Wait why would you buy a gcn memory card from homg kong? Its not like they are expensive in the US.
Is anyone else hoping for a return of the dump?
I'm also hoping that the reason this one isnt releasing in the US/EU at the same time as the Japanese one is because there is so much new text to translate.
We got the wii version at the same time as Japan and all the text was just copy pasted from wild world.
