Hello everyone! I like to ask a question. I want to rip menu sound effects from sonic rush adventure. But I don't how. I'm using the Desmume emulator. But it doesn't support sound channel disabling. I can record the sound effects into an wav file. But then background music is included too. I just want the menu sound effects without background music. Can anybody tell me a different way how to rip sounds from an DS emulator?
Get
Tinke, open the ROM with it. Search for a .sdat file, click the "View" button (with a lense icon). On the right, search for .swav files. You can play them and export them as .wav.
As a side not, some games may not have the sounds in a SDAT, although as Previous said most of them do. Also, along with SWAV, SWAR and STRM files may also contain the sounds you're looking for.
If you want to rip a lot of sounds, you can extract (not export) the folder containing them using Tinke, and convert the whole bunch using
VGSC.

With VGS converter I got an bug when I'm trying to convert the sound to wav. The status says : File isn't supported/Doesn't exist
Weird. Could you tell me which sound you're trying to rip? (The location within the ROM should be sufficient.)

Well... I can't see which sound I'm exactly ripping. Becuase the names are more like : BGMUSIC,SAILING or something like that.
These are the maps i'm going in
root-snd-sb1 Then I see a file called sound_data.sdat I export that sound to my map. And then I use your VGS converter. But when I select the convert button it says : File isn't supported/ doesn't exist.

There are no swav files. Only SDAT-----> SSEQ,SSAR,SBNK,SWAR Files
Go into SWAR, select a file, click "Unpack". See if there are SWAV files inside.
