He's an ape in pajamas with a dumb face. Doesn't tell me anything and it's really boring overall. Even DK, which is literally an ape with a necktie is way more interesting than him. He actually looks like he has personality.

but humans are apes, the main species to sport neckties
I despise kiddy and even dixie
Kiddy almost seems like he was designed to be unlikable. Get this:
He's a baby, but he's not cute... he's ugly. Okay that's fine lot's of Kong's are ugly but at least they are funny... oh Kiddy is not funny? Okay than he's got to be cool right? Maybe he does a neat little dance like Diddy does? No? He doesn't do anything but make stupid faces and cry?
Basically in order for a character to be likeable he/she needs to fall into at least one of these categories:
Cute
Funny
Cool
A lot of Kongs fall under the Funny category, some under cool, some under cute. Kiddy is not in any of those categories.
I don't think it really matters what Kiddie looked like. It was time to play as DK again and Rare said no...
That is enough to hate the git...
I just hope Kremlings come back for the next DK game.
I wouldn't mind if they brought back Kiddy if they made him into a running gag of just being horrible.
Nah I'm against taking a bad character and mocking them in their own universe. It doesn't come out right. Like Scrappy Doo in the real life Scooby Doo movie. Sure we all hated him, but when Scooby, his godfather, treats him bad... just feels wrong.
Wait, people hate Scrappy Doo?

Yep.
They even made fun of him in Batman: the Brave and the Bold what
well, you can't write Scrappy without crap

since when did "everyone" hate him? he's a fun character what
Honestly I don't dislike him as much as most people do, but I can understand why people hate him.
I'm partial to Scooby-Dum myself.
When they first added him, Scooby-Doo was at its lowest ratings, and they needed new viewership, so they made Scrappy.
The reason why the character himself is hated is because he demeanor is the exact opposite to the rest of the cast. While
everyone else is cautious and generally careful (provided neither Scooby or Shaggy are hungry of course,) Scrappy is
fool-hardy and head-strong, and preforms acts of strength that are an the side of unbelievability. Of course the series had
it's share of slapstick and sight gags (IE sandwich gobbling and the like) nothing was taken to a level that just couldn't be
believed. Scrappy can break through walls, run over water... all without reason. Not to mention, his "catch-phrases" are
some of the worst I've ever heard. Nothing irritated me more as a child than turning on the tv on Saturday mornings and
hearing "Puuuuuupy POOOOOOWER!"
TL:DR - Scrappy sucks because he is loud, annoying, and an overall unlikable kind of character. Many believe he is the
reason behind the eventual decline in viewership, and eventually the cancellation of the main series.
