Being honest I'd have to say the same thing. He looks awesome, but I mean he looks like another one of Goku's kids. A different hairstyle or clothes would make him more original.

But apart from that very well done, he looks great. And yeah good to have different eyes than you

I mean its not that big of a deal, Tom Guycott's ref is a videogame character.(so in a sense there isn't any originality)
He does draw him various ways however.
So really you could use what you have.

Some love for Dazzeroo too.

Tried spriting some people in Midas style (because I haven't sprited in that style before).

Idk what happened with Nicktendo there. I was mainly having trouble with the colors and things sort of fell apart after that.
