To consolidate his poor decision, there should be a Mega Poliwrath that is actually a frog. Like how Munna is based on a Gen 1 NPC's speculation.
But...then what will become of Politoad?

He'll turn into a prince as Mega Politoed.
Well, it would work if he was a Frog...but I've never heard of a Toad Prince.
Toads aren't a species, just a monicker. All toads are actually frogs.

So I guess there was a quick shot of (potentially) a new 3D pokemon game, showing Blaziken and Lucario in a city-type atmosphere. From the looks of it, I'm hoping it might be a Pokemon Colloseum-type game, but it could very likely be something X/ Y related.
Also worth noting, running is supposedly default in X and Y, where pressing B will make the player walk. Also, shiny sylveon:

This is good. It should make me less inclined to walk (I have this weird thing where I sometimes want to walk just because it's the default speed), not to mention make it easier on the thumb.
I always walk when I'm indoors. Seems more natural.
I didn't...especially when the place is large. They walk slow as ass, like they've nowhere to be.
I LOVE the new battle interface!!
I really love how the previous menu (Fight/pokemon/bag/run) is still visible in the background : D
Eww, I'd rather they have made it darker and faded in the background rather than blurry. Really makes it hard to look at.
That split screen on the top somewhat reminds me of Pokémon Stadium. I like that.

Not for me. I think it looks very clean and professional. I think of focus blurs used in film for some reason.
I must be in the minority then; I've never been one fond of blurriness in Heads Up Displays. After all, this is just the user interface, so there's no reason any aspect of it should appear blurry and out of focus; if it isn't supposed to be focused, it's better either transparent, grayed out, or just not there at all.
I can say, though, that this might hint at them using motion blurs for battle scenes where possible (think Quick Attack and ExtremeSpeed). Blurriness fits perfectly in that regard, since you literally can't focus on things that are moving too fast.
Holy shit that is one sexy battle interface! Or even battle everything. The scenario is so colorful!
This game is turning out to be unbelieavbly good and packed with content and it's not even out yet.
Get hype!!!!
