If that was the case shouldn't the Y version be more masculine and the X more feminine?
Yeah, although maybe they flipflopped them on purpose? In true GameFreak Fashion.
Maybe this reveals the morals behind these games. Previous games were all about animal rights with Team Plasma...so, perhaps this time, Y teaches the importance of women, while X teaches the importance of men. I know it's opposite the actual chromosome distribution, but...
...
Or, we could be reading way too deep into it.
I really doubt Gamefreak is going to delve into gender related issues.
If it's really controversial and difficult now nobody wants a game bringing up those points.
I think it's just related to genetics, as in life and death. X (Xerneas) representing life and Y (Yveltal) representing death.
Yeah none of that comes to mind. I was just making an observation based on their looks.
Maybe this will be the first set of games to include the Neither option.

I'll simply create a female character called 'Trap'.
Apparently the evolution of the fire lion was leaked, but I'm at work and too lazy to get the actual link. A friend texted an image of it.
yeah, because pokémon has always been gender equality

Pyroar (fire/normal)
-Mewtwo X looks fine to me
-The starters look okay
-I was hoping Froakie would evolve into something fancier looking and the white dots on its nose would turn into spectacles, but it's okay, it doesn't look bad
-I also prefer the ice dino, it's so cute
-I like the skunk-cats, the white one is definitely gonna be the female because of how the tail curls are and the facial expression. The black one also resembles Umbreon, did anyone notice?
-Pyroar looks pretty good
-I don't mind the alpaca-dog evolving into a poodle, we don't really have any poodle Pokemon AFAIK
The alpaca doesn't evolve into a poodle, those are all the same pokemon. When you catch it in the wild, it starts out shaggy, but when you can get it's hair cut/styled. If I had to guess, it's style will change it's ability/stats. I say this because it's default ability is Fur Coat which most likely won't be the case after having a trim.
bluh
the (possible) Litleo evolution is a little disappointing to me. It just seems so. . .lacking? I don't know how to word it.
I'm not all that concerned because I never loved Litleo, but just felt like sharing o/
It bugs me because I was absolutely CERTAIN that it was gonna be some sort of Fire/Poison manticore type of thing, what with Litleo having that tail that looks like a scorpion tail and there being such a mythological vibe so far. If there's a third stage to the family, then hopefully then it'll go the way of the manticore at that point but the way its design looks I really doubt it...
... if it is real, that is. Which I would put money on, with how there's an actual screenshot.
