They do carry a feel of movement, keep at it and I'm sure it will indeed become second nature! Something I need to practice on too myself honestly haha...
even if these are good, they're not perfect yet
when you make poses like this don't stop at your first or second try
keep trying the same pose a bunch of different ways then figure which works best and why
I'm still only doodling and I'm sorry that I've been kind of pop-in and pop-out on the forums, I'm still working on something I'm keeping quiet until its ready, that will be the subject of a more consistent return to the forums, again in the mean time I'll be posting some designs I'm particularly happy with and taking in any comments on my works to try and improve for the next batch.
Anyway on to what I have to post today,
Something I concieved of a few months back for a game concept, but never actually draw,
basic game concept, open arena brawler, the game starts with everyone raw, they collect padded shells which form a Husk, (Arms, Legs, Body, Head) each piece with their own perks.
I expect my little surprise will be popping up in the game dev forums within a few weeks, depending on how enthusiastic I'm feeling,
Thanks for reading,
Bombshell
my little surprise is gone and lost for ever due to me building a new computer and formatting the old hard drive.
needless to say I will revisit my little surprise which spoiler alert was a puzzle platformer on which I worked weeks on to get everything nice and- okay I'll stop ranting, back to the art work.
still trying to be a good ero-artist (ofc I'll refrain from ero-nudity on the forum, theres a time and a place and for the moment its called deviant art)
I thought with my return to the forum now being used to my work schedule I'd post something, why not my most recent picture in this thread.
if anyones wondering what they should think of the above image, I'm mainly concerned with proportions, line quality and style, I didn't go for anything complicated with the coloring or posing.
its good to be back,
thanks for reading,
Bombshell
i moved some things around so the perspective would work better
I have edited the first post and the name of the thread to reflect on posts which are yet to come,
I may be posting suggestive nudity that may be seen unfit for the work place,
I'd appreciate some clarification as to the forums policy on such works, until then I'll keep the nudity covered so as to keep the thread within reason, the first post elaborates on this and is quite clear as a warning for those who may venture into the thread.
In the mean time I have an image suggested by one of my friends telling me if I want to draw suggestive nudity and erotic imagery I'd likely be expected to sexualise both men and women, I figured the diversity in drawing practice wouldn't hurt either,
if such images make you uncomfortable I have spoiler tagged the image for your comfort.
as you may expect my concern is still in that of gesture and anatomy, in this case there isn't much of a gesture so I guess anatomy would be its concern, it was a fairly quick sketch so I'm glad it came out as clean as it did, thanks to some advise to use my arm in drawing too, given the size of my graphics tablet I've mostly been using my wrist but that little extra movement is helping me get faster clean lines.
The pose looks good, but I worry that the left leg seems to be turned inward a bit too much. Maybe try angling just the foot closer (but not exactly) to the right foot?
trying out some other styles, this is a pic of a girl cosplaying as INK (the goofy fellow in my avatar), trying to get a more friendly style for posing so I might make a few comic strips, I've yet to make any kind of comic so I guess I got to start somewhere
the only complaints i would have with this is that the face has some tiny issues (eyebrow going under theye, mouth touching the edge of the face)
but i guess those are related to the style
good job otherwise
thanks, for the record, here it is coloured and shaded,
hmm that's too bad, i would've rather liked a very hueshifted palette for this
how do you mean?
I'm drawing the same character in a different pose now, if you could give me a better idea of the kind of palette you mean I can keep it in mind when I get to colouring
hueshifting is when, as a color gets progressively darker, it changes color, or hue
hell even in your avatar it goes from orange to purpleish
this a good example i guess
I think I have the original design sheet a few pages back, but here is Speedo Joe, Jacket and The Doctor in kind of a front page format,
I still intend to make a comic series from these guys I've just not got around to starting it.
I'm still lining the pic above, in the mean time I've done a quick design of a character for my friend whos just started out streaming on twitch by the name of Mad Lantern.
