Phones with no buttons, especially
Oh hey.
My favorite Final Fantasy was remade with minimal effort.
And is being released on a terrible platform.
And has a semi-bad art style.
Yayyyyyyyy.
(*sigh* I'm still buying it.)
I could care less, but god even for the Iphone those graphics are ugly.
Willing to bet it's gameplay is just like any other full fledged game that works on the Iphone too, terribly.
I'd much rather have a completely original RPG that actually utilizes what the Iphone's touch scree can do but even then it's highly doubtful.
Played the PSX version and I must say: One of the worst RPGs I've ever played (alongside with Persona 3, Evolution Worlds & ToS2).
And now the Iphone version? Well, at least it's stuff to rip from.

I wouldn't say that....the story is kinda meh, but the job system is superb. Having that level of customization with a party is always nice. I also like how the starting class (Freelancer) becomes the best class as you master the classes, as it gains all of the innate abilities from the mastered classes. So you don't have to choose one specific class in the end...you just ervert back to being a Freelancer and can do it all.
The story is nothing special, but the gameplay is some of the best in the series.
I beat Ex-Death in the other dimension and then went through a forest with all these highly difficult bosses (including the naked chick who kills your dragon). My experience: If you choose the wrong class to skill yourself, you can easily screw up the whole game. Plus the guessing game which tech works on which enemy/boss. Storyline is totally depressive, nearly everyone dies, all your efforts through the game are for nothing as Ex-Death always wins (even if you kill him two times). I guess you will only gain upper hand in the very last part of the game.
But that was last year, maybe my memories are a little bit fogged.
I just bought the game. The music doesn't sound too bad...
but I really dislike how the game looks. The game is composed of tiles and this meteor looks so ugly bleh.
Okay, it might not look too bad here but it looks horrid in the game.
Fortunately, the story wont change, and neither will the gameplay so it`s bearable.
Also this game is going to a pain to rip. All of the files consist of data.bin`s
NONE OF THOSE TILES MATCH UP AT ALL
DID THEY EVEN
TRY?!?!?!?!!?!?
WHY ARE PEOPLE GIVING THEM MONEY FOR THIS
One of the cliffs in Secret of Mana iOS looked a little bit odd to me, but this... ?

Well, so much for them taking the chance to make the meteors more distinguishable and detailed than the previous versions. The first rule of thumb with tiles is always to make sure that they "flow," and unfortunately, these do not. I think most of their effort went into those sweet monster sprites. Many of the other tiles look nice as well, and actually flow. The characters ,however, look...pillow-cel-shaded, which isn't BAD, but it's kinda meh.
Wow, what a shitty tiling job.
At least Faris's sprites look cool.
