So today's update looks like it MIGHT be a Kid Icarus stage... It reminds me of one of the sections of Skyworld in Uprising a little. Also the headless statues have sort of an ancient Greece kind of feel, fitting the Kid Icarus style.
I could be way off of course.
No you're right its Chapter 20 of Kid icarus uprising.
If there is a direct in April, I am thinking now that it might reveal Palutena, based on the fact he's had a Kid Icarus related update somewhere in the lineup for the past 3 weeks. Of course its possible he might not, I just like to hope its building up to something even bigger.
The spring looks like the one from the create a stage mode in Brawl
It could be a custom one
Well, the block motif seems to match that of that Palutena statue stage. I also THINK uprising had springs, it's been a while since I played that stage.
One thing I've always wondered. If the setting takes place in ancient greece, why are the statues missing heads and limbs as if they were centuries old?

It did. I'm thinking/hoping it's a breakaway floor. I don't want another "tour" style stage.

maybe monsters broke it down?
There is a reason from the game that parts of skyworld might be broken down.
Also, sometimes the true timeframe is ambiguous, because human interaction is limited and there are anachronistic references and weaponry.
Well it's not actually ancient Greece, it's a fictional fantasy world called Angel Land that simply borrows some greek mythological asthetics.
So technically it doesn't have to fit anywhere in our real-world timeline.
Today's update implies that there's going to be a lot of Zelda items, which is something I really look forward to. I don't know if he was just referring to the fact there's been like 4 new zelda related items released so far, or whether there's even more than that. I'm hoping for lots, because the Zelda universe is, you know, the series with the most items.
I'd like it if they put the spinner from Twilight Princess in as well
You could ride it along and run into enemies; of course you couldn't get off unless someone knocked you off, and stopping would be an issue
so its not like its some sort of bulldozer or anything
Thats what i like in an item; A good strength and obvious (and exploitable) flaw
So there's an interview with this voice actor I noticed while lightly skimming GameFAQs today who allegedly did a voice for Raiden in Smash Bros, seemingly a small role. I'd normally dismiss a rumor like this, but it came from an actual article:

Let me think about that. Well the Metal Gear series is always coming in and out of my ‘field’. We have put bids out on it a couple of times. Raiden was always a character that I had wanted to play. I did end up playing him on Super Smash Bros; so I did end up playing him eventually. NOT to the extent that he is in the other games.
Really I can’t think of any others, I don’t know. Im so lucky to have work on all the major franchises that anyone could possibly work on or even dream to work on.
I'm still taking this with a grain of salt, like most things, I mean it IS the day before April 1st that this was posted. But still, perhaps it's indication that Snake will be back, which is something I approve of, so I kind of hope it's true.
If Snake is back, he better have the prosthetic arm.
That would be cool.
