i too have to admit that most of the times when i play for fun as well as competitive with my friends, i rather pick a flat out stage where we can fight it out using our skills rather than leave it up to luck. but it sucks because the music as well as the stage set up gets boring after a while. playing different stages keeps it fresh

seriously the best new thing that has been added to smash that has been revealed yet is the final destination mode for every stage.

The thing with tournaments is that if there is anything at all, and I repeat ANYTHING AT ALL that a contestant can get behind to complain about the legitimacy of the tournament it becomes very problematic. Say a victory seemed to hinge on a stage hazard interfering, then the loser brings the issue up, causes problems, and tries to overturn the results. It becomes even worse if there is, say, money involved. People will nitpick the most asanine things sometimes, so it eventually leads to most stages getting banned for unpredicitability or imbalance in favor of certain character types.

but yeah no play Smash Bros however you like. I can't wait to dive into all these silly walk-off stages while playing with Tanooki Tails only as Mr. Game and Watch but at the same time I'm still going to 4 stock noobs with Roy on Project M.

who fucking cares, anyway this was my comment on the whole samus matter, not necessarily her boots because those are great. but it's about her gigantic ass and breasts this time around. which is just a bit silly character design if you ask me.

it's about the right anatomy. and while non of this stuff is going to bother me once i've got one of the games in hand; it's interesting to say the least to discuss this.
for the way she performs in her own games; i've got to admit, her body doesn't make much sense this time around. and while it certainly doesn't bother me because she really looks stunning this time around, it just feels weird and doesn't give me the appeal of what samus used to be.

by that i mean i think it's a kind of a shame we're getting zero suit samus of samus without her power suit on in every game nowadays. it's like they are saying ''look lets just get this out of the way right now; samus is a girl, girls have breasts. here's a great shot of her breasts while she's wearing the zero suit. she also has a great ass take a good look at that too. alright now that we're done with this here's the game.''

i remember when i finished super metroid as quickly as possible because someone told me she was actually a girl and i couldn't believe it. and there she was.

what made samus ''sexy'' to me was how little we knew about her, or even saw of her. she's like this kick ass girl that lives in isolation and works alone to defeat monsters that are 10 times her size ( except ridley cause he can fit into smash shut up. ) and after every amazing adventure you go through with her, in the end you are reminded again she's actually a human being - infact she's a beautiful young blond woman.

you know how when a girl isn't fully undressed, like in her lingerie or panties? that's more sexier to most because it leaves something to the imaginenation. the thought of what's under there is even more sexier than the actual sight of what's under there.

that what makes samus beautiful to me. and i still don't mind the zero suit or anything, inf act i think it's one if her best ''suitless forms'' because it shows her body, it shows she's female and beautiful. but it doesn't reveal anything at all. and with that while i still don't consider it a bad design choice this time around; i do think her breasts and booty are way out of proportion for what she does. she's more of a sexy bounty hunter now instead of what she's used to be;

a bounty hunter, that also happens to be sexy.

I'm not sure how you're coming to the conclusion that her body doesn't make sense this time around.

In the previous game she was a essentially a literal Barbie doll; she had ridiculously large breasts and a stick figure that made her look like she should snap in two if she got in a fight.

The new ZSamus is much more practical. She's beefier with more musculature to make her look tough and more believable that she'd be able to hold her own in a fight. And her bust size has definitely not grown; in fact at first I was thinking it might have gotten smaller but in reality I think her body is just filling it out better this time around. I'm not really sure why you think her butt is huge either. I've been trying to find an image that might give that impression but in all the shots I can find it just looks like an average girl's behind to me.

I'd prefer Zero Suit Samus to not be in Smash actually. I mean, is that suit really that important in the games that it has to be a whole nother character and take up a whole nother spot? I was playing SSBB the other day, I have to fight Giant Zero Suit Samus, and my dad walks in.

Dad: "what's this game?"
Me: "Smash Bros."
"Is it from the library?"
"Nope"
"Can you fight someone else"
I don't have control over who I fight in this game mode"
*Kills Zero Suit Samus*
Me: "There"
*dad walks out*
Dad:"I'm not sure if I like that..."

YES. She's a complete other side to the character, and now she gets a Final Smash that won't be garbage.
Just because you or your parents(or others) might be uncomfortable with a female character with some curves doesn't mean she shouldn't be in.

Now, to be serious, though, while I am not celebrating to see Zero Suit Samus in the new Smash Bros. game as a separate character, I'm not going to be a bad sport about it either. Like you said, she contributes enough to her own franchise to actually be important, so it's a good enough reason to put her in when there is a scarce amount of characters to pull from the Metriod series. Besides, this is the same franchise that made one of Mario's alter egos a separate character and forcefully separated the "dynamic duo" of Zelda and Sheik.

Anyway, if the parents are going to be complaining about an attracitve woman in a skintight suit that covers around 90% of her body, I would love to see them react to the moment Palutena becomes a playable character (provided the rumors are true) considering how skimpy her outfit is compared to the other female characters in the game.

you know that might just be it in the end. I think we have to see the game in motion to finally judge, because i think i just saw a couple of "bad" screen shots of her where her behind or breasts just came out a bit bigger than should be necessary to represent her and her character. Irony is once that can happen i probably won't give a fuck anymore.

i just saw some new 3DS pictures of her model and it didn't even notice it anymore. That said; i think she looks amazing this time around and i can't wait to play as her again.
