True, though I think Snake and Sonic were meant to be starters at some point in development, but then it was decided for them to be unlockables. But still, I think Luigi is going to be unlockable anyway. Y'know, to avoid breaking a tradition that's been going on for 15 or so years.

Well, it is the Year of Luigi, he might be available from the start since he was shown on his year(mainly because Luigi-Fans will be roaring to play with him now).
Sakurai talked a lot abour how the internet spoils everything so there's no point in keeping things a surprise. Luigi is probably still unlockable.

To be fair, Captain Falcon and Ness broke that so called "tradition" in melee. I Wouldn't be too surprised if they pulled off the same thing with Luigi.

Even so, I don't think that means he still won't follow through with that.
Sure, perhaps the internet does ruin surprises, but lets be honest for a second. That doesn't mean it won't happen. And chances are once the game is released characters might still be confirmed on the site, probably weekly instead of monthly as well.

Well, if it only lasted for two years and only happened in one game, then it isn't really a tradition. Still, I think both Jiggs and Luigi will still be unlockables.

It really does look overpowered. Although with it being a bomb I wonder if you will be able to self damage with it.
