Alright, this character is actually pretty hilarious.
My reaction to everything:

I can talk forever about Smash, so I'll be very VERY concise this time.

What I love:
-Attention to detail: Best example would be the love for Megaman's intro, having him without his helmet, showing the images of the Robot Masters he borrows moves from and their Wily and Light serials numbers being displayed as well. Another example is having the characters look like they actually do in other games (Pikachu's recent redesign and the fact that Bowser never really looked COMPLETELY like the style of his other depictions on the same platforms as Melee and Brawl)
-Actual differences in style between platforms.
-An actual boxing ring arena.
-Cross referencing between game series (Kirby turning into a Thwomp for example)
-The possible return of bosses with the Yellow Devil, plus the fact they might have a 3rd party boss at all.
-Wii Fit trainer is a surprisingly hilarious addition. Plus she's another girl character, something lacking in Smash all around.
-Inclusion of alternate weapons from Kid Icarus Uprising for Pit's moveset.
-Them doing Mega Man RIGHT and doing the Robot Master moves as what seems like a mix of standard and special attacks, instead of the ridiculously over-complex movesets I've seen people pander around online.

What I am concerned about:
-It looks like that fire move could be Mega Man's final smash. Just kind of disappointing it didn't come from a cooler robot master, I never really found Flame Man that cool.
-I'm worried Alternate Costumes may not be implemented despite being such a great idea. Its like a staple in fighting franchises now, and it was experimented with in Brawl.
-If Ridley or no other Metroid reps get in I'll be sorely disappointed.
-I have NO idea how the new form of Mewtwo works into the equation. It definitely improves Mewtwo's chances, but how it effects how he will appear in THIS game can only be determined by how the transformation is involved in the actual XY games. Plus... eggplant toes... Eck.

Entirely Speculation:
-Since it seems like the Smash symbol appears on a few stages that are actually associated with a character, what if the boxing ring is representing not Dedede, but Little Mac?
-Could the curious cocking of Nook's head at the Villager's letter imply he'd be INTERESTED in what the letter was conveying?
-Bigger chance for Toon Zelda / Shiek to be realized now that there are not only more toonish Zelda games, but an HD remake of Wind Waker coming?

I very VERY much look forward to any and all revelations to come. Big Grin
The fire move is not Mega Man's final smash, you can see him use it in the interview with Sakurai and he's not glowing when he does it.
Only Smash Bros. can make a ridiculous idea on paper work.
Mega Man's page on the website includes screen shots from both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game, but Wii Fit Trainer and Villager only have screen shots from the Wii U version. Sakurai mentioned that each version would have the same number of characters, but could it be that they will still have different characters? Could Villager and WFTrainer be Wii U exclusive?

They had their reasons for using the black outlines, Sakurai pointed out that it would be easier to see them on the 3DS screen.

Besides, handheld games usually look like shit on a computer. I wouldn't knock it because of how the graphics look.
From the video with Sakurai (he mentions playing with the new characters on lunch breaks), it seems like the Wii U version is just farther ahead in development, so I think it's safe to assume they simply aren't added into the 3DS version.

The only thing that makes me wary is the wording of it all. "The total number of characters is the same as the Wii U version" could still mean that there's different characters in each.
I'm hoping they'll give us the option to turn the black outlines off for the 3DS version.

...What stages would those be?
In reply to TomGuycott,

Knowing that they'll most likely use Other M's Ridley clone instead of the actual Ridley, if they decide to include him at all, I'd rather not see him become playable. We're probably going to get Zero Suit Samus (Other M version, ridiculous heels and all) as the "second Metroid character" even though she doesn't really count as a different character any more than Sheik does.

Dark Samus isn't totally out of the question... Though, I doubt we'll get her either.

(Strange, my posts don't seem to be showing up correctly.)
Ray, are you having issues with posting?
I forget, I thought somebody said so. I haven't really looked very hard, I'm burnt out from my day. xD

Flags on a Fire Emblem/Kid Icarus-looking castle stage... or something.

It's the quote tags, I think. The post became normal when I removed them.
Edit: Yes, it's the quote tags :/

I'm 90% certain that's just the new Battlefield.
