Have you tried running the archives through ntcompress to decompress it? It's found within the Revolution SDK.
When everything else fails, do a memory dump.

Just tried that, didn't get anything.

How do I do this?

Get to a specific spot while emulating it in Dolphin, and then dump Dolphin's memory. I'd recommend
Process Explorer, you can dump memory through it easily.
Then you do the boring stuff -- searching through said dump for the "BRES" entries.
Okay well I managed to dump the process and rip the BRRES files BUT the model I am trying to rip is not showing up correctly and I can only get the skeleton, textures, and animations - no actual geometry. Also, most of the other models in the game are like this as well.

Edit: I can view the model in brawlbox, but I can't get the skeleton, and the export options aren't exactly great.
I have an issue though. I had already converted him to FBX previously, however the skeleton was not rigged to the model (this is one of the major reasons I want to rip him like this, otherwise I could just rig him myself and it would be crappy).
I do not have 3DS max (I am downloading it now to see if it will work)
(also I just changed my name and avatar)
Turns out, 3DS Max did work successfully. This is gonna be tedious to get every single model.
maybe you should test out a couple more models and start up a ripping project detailing how to rip them?
Yeah, I actually considered a "Version 8" Model Ripping tutorial. It's really complicated so a tutorial would probably help. I know there's a bomberman game for wii that someone had my exact problem with that apparently uses the same kinds of models, so I'm sure there's more games too.
I will write it up today after classes

What did you use to convert it to FBX? All my export options in brawlbox are PMD and DAE.

I just imported the model's DAE file into 3DS Max (using the 2011.3.1 DAE plugin version), then resized it and re-exported it as an FBX. Simple as that.
